SWATCH GIRLS PRO
TOP WOMEN SURFERS TO STROLL ALONG
THE “LANDES" PERFECT CATWALK

From May 12th to 16th, Hossegor-Seignosse beaches will welcome the elite of women surfers for the SWATCH GIRLS PRO professional surfing contest.
Classified 6* in the World Qualifying Series (WQS 6*), this event will see the top women surfers competing on one of the world’s top beach break.
With a level of surfing that is high up there with their masculine counterparts, these ladies will introduce you to their own special style of surfing and living, often referred to as “Girl Power” during the Ascension weekend.
The “future Power Girls” will also have an occasion to display their talent, elegance and tenacity during the Pro Junior taking place on May 12th & 13th.

 

TALENTED BEAUTIES

Triple World Champion, Autralian Stephanie Gilmore, 22, holds all cards in hand to win a fourth title.
However the competition has already proven very sharp and amongst the sharpest, already ranked 4th in the world, young and charming 19 year-old Hawaiian Coco HO delights us with very powerful and aggressive surf.
The daughter of highly respected North Shore surfer Michael HO and niece of 1993 World Champion Derek HO, will no doubt be a great challenger should the swell put on Hawaiian tints in Hossegor. Her compatriot, Alana Blanchard, 20, has also learnt surfing on mythical waves such as Pipe and Sunset Beach…she was on top of that elected sexiest surfer girl on tour by American magazine "SURFER".

 

Rank 5th, Sally Fitzgibbons a 19 year-old Australian, already World Junior Champ, is also to be considered as a very tactical opponent gifted with a very swift style that could take her to the highest places on the podium.

France will also be very well represented by Lee Ann Curren, 20, daughter of famous triple World Champion Tom Curren, who actually won his first Junior Champ title in Hossegor!
Lee Ann is now ranked amongst the 17 best women surfer in the world thanks to her powerful and graceful style, one thing she shares with her father on top of guitar playing.
16 year-old Johanne Defay, will also put on a great show even though she is not competing yet in the Women WQS, but we mustn’t forget she just ranked 3rd in the World Junior Championship.
