LATE BRAKING NEWS:: CHELSEA GEORGESON CLAIMS WORLD TITLE


Georgeson makes it a hat-trick, wins ASP title, Triple Crown title and WCT event title
Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 16 December, 2005 : - - Congratulations to the new ASP Women’s World Champion Chelsea Georgeson from Australia! She is also the Vans Triple Crown of Surfing champion, and the Billabong Pro Maui event winner! The stylish goofy-footed Georgeson took the world title from Peruvian Sofia Mulanovich, who lost her Quarterfinal heat to 2002 event winner Jacqueline Silva. Silva met Georgeson in the final, but the Brazilian could not do enough to defeat the Australian, who enjoyed a hat trick of wins today.

Chelsea Georgeson claimed the 2005 ASP World Title following Sofia Mulanovich's defeat by Jacqueline Silva in Heat #3 of the quarter-finals at Honolua Bay. Earlier Georgeson won her quarter-final heat #2 defeating Trudy Todd.
