FOSTER'S LONGBOARD FESTIVAL 2006
Press Release:
We welcome all Longboarders & Old School (Retro) Surfers to the greatest and biggest longboard
event of the year: The Foster´s Longboard Festival 2006 organized by: Essência – Escola de
Surf, Bodyboard, Longboard (Surf School).
This amazing event will take place in Praia da Rainha – Bar Casa do Sol, in COSTA DA
CAPARICA – PORTUGAL on July 7, 8 and 9. It will be three days filled with surf, sun and big
party, with a full moon right above. Beside the Longboard & Retro championship, there will be lots
of activities like: Beach Volley, Traditional Games, Yoga lessons, Surf lessons, Body Combat,
Futevolley, etc.
Day 7, starts at 10h00 and will be dedicated to free-surf sessions, photo sessions, check-in and
reception of sign-ins for the Festival and for the dinner of day 8, until 20H00.
Day 8 will be the starting of the Longboard & Retro Championship at 9H00 (check-in at 8H00),
until 20H00. All athletes signed, will have a free dinner and access to the Mega Summer Party
2006 supported by MegaFM, official radio of the whole event. This Mega Summer Party, starting at
22h30, will have, beside the day activities already referred above: raffle of 3 Lufi surfboards and
other prizes to all athletes signed-in, night surfing, lots of music,…
Day 9 begins at 9H00 with the continuation of the Longboard & Retro Championship, finishing at
the end of the day, with the prize awards for the winners (Longboard: 1st Place – trip to Lanzarote &
2nd Place – trip to Fuerteventura; Retro: 1st Place – Paulo Jacinto Retro Surfboard), looking at of the
best dusk ever.
These are more than enough reasons not to miss the greatest and biggest longboard event of the
year: FOSTER´S LONGBOARD FESTIVAL 2006 ;-)

The price to sign-in for Longboard/Retro is 30€, this price includes the dinner and the access to the
Mega Summer Party, 40€ if wish to sign-in for both (Longboard & Retro). In case wish to take
company for the dinner, it will cost 12,5€/person.
