12th annual San Onofre Classic presented by QuikSilverEdition readies for action
The 12th annual San Onofre Classic presented by QuikSilverEdition will be held May 5-6, 2007 at San Onofre State Park. For the first time, a Hawaiian style stand-up paddle surfing contest has been added to the competition on Saturday. “The gentle peaks at Old Man’s surf break are perfect for these huge modern surfboards” according to event producer Allan Seymour.
The San Onofre Classic is a traditional vintage longboard contest with a Menhune contest on Sunday for children on contemporary surfboards. “We are always looking to bring unique events to this wonderful family beach.
